Very well researched cookbook from a man who clearly loves his home country and Arabic vegetarian cuisine I like the excerpts of poetry and little known facts before each recipe Most of the recipe I have seen in other Middle Eastern cookbooks, but there were some real gems in there too Can t wait to try out the recipes, especially the desserts

This is most definitely my favourite cookbook, despite the lack of photos pictures Many of the dishes are easy to prepare they may require long cooking times though , and once you ve stocked up on some spices and pulses you re good to go So far every dish I ve prepared from this book has been absolutely delicious.
