  1. There were parts that I loved, but lots that didn t quite ring true Was a worthwhile read nonetheless.

  2. You know when you really, really like a book and you can t put it down for a single second, not even to eat That was my experience with Bad Blood Every made up adjective to describe a great book applies un putdown able, arm rest clutching, a thrill a minute Harry O Connor is a narcotics detective with New Scotland Yard He s been trying to make sense of his life ever since his mother abandoned him at the carnival when he was eight years old and he was taken in by a family of Travelling gypsies He [...]

  3. What I loved most about Bad Blood is that it is so easy to connect emotionally with the characters and story, which is sometimes missing in contemporary crime The story takes hold of you from the very first page, and will keep you turning pages long into the night Beautiful, evocative descriptions are a real treat and Badger is a complex, entirely lovable character I can t wait to start the next Badger story

  4. I did really enjoy this book I read it in a day as I found it very exciting I don t think the it paints the police in 2001 in a very good light and there are few holes in the plot Surely an analyst in 2001 would have picked up the connection to previous similar cases Still very enjoyable though and would thoroughly recommend for a quick, action packed read Looking forward to the next Harry O Connor instalment.

  5. This book is a perfect holiday read.A good intro into crime mystery novels.Personally, I worked out the twist by page 91, which was a bit disappointing, but I enjoyed the characters and the storyline.Nothing too gory or graphic, so would potentially be a good introduction to this genre of writing for older teens

  6. A very good read, especially for a debut novel The dialogue in this crime thriller is excellently done Be warned, once you start reading you won t be able to put it down until you reach the end Full review here
