I really like these picture books by David A Adler He also has written about Martin Luther, King, Jr and George Washington Carver to name a few I think this biography is wonderful for younger students to learn about our 16th president of the United States It teaches about the Civil War, the Emancipation Proclamation, his personal history, and eventual assassination in a non threatening way to younger students.
